DESCRIPTION:Are you a Bridgeport youth between the ages of 18-24 and interested in learning\, earning and serving your community by helping to build affordable housing? YouthBuild Bridgeport is for you. \nYouthBuild\, a program of the WorkPlace\, is currently accepting 22 Bridgeport youth into the first training group starting March 13\, 2017. \nOnce accepted youth will: \n\nWork toward obtaining their High School Diploma or GED\nWork toward gaining construction training\, industry recognized credentials\, and onsite work experience in partnership with Habitat for Humanity and Park City Communities\nEarn a stipend during the 6 months of training\nAn iPad fully loaded with program materials and tools upon completion\nTransportation assistance to the program\, if needed\nCase Management & Graduate Services for 1 year after completion\n\nIf you are or know a youth that wants an opportunity to start a career\, contact Carmen Nieves at (203) 610-8478 or via email at cnieves@workplace.org.
